| This is my Modelltrans Sherman Beach Armoured Recovery Vehicle. The decals came from my spares box so the "T" number is bound to be wrong. I think I got a bit carried away with the paint chipping and rust as BARV's in wartime photo's look quite clean and tidy, I couldn't help it, I used to build ships. The figure that slightly resembles Percy Hobart, father of the D day funnies, is from the Modelltrans /Matchbox Monty's caravan kit. Ever since I saw a photo in a tank book of a Sherman BARV when I was thirteen I had to have one, and 37 years later here it is. Living the dream! |
