Korean Confrontation
"Attached is the first of some photos of a small Korean War diorama I did a few years back. The Hasegawa M4A3E8 Sherman was decent and easy to build but is overscale for 1/72, maybe closer to 1/70 or larger? The Sherman was taller than the T-34-85 though these kits together really exaggerate the difference. The dragon face was done by masking the red area and using white decal sheet for the teeth and other markings.
The T-34-85 is a combination of the LEVA T-34-85 kit and the ESCI hull. The kit was given to me already built, and not well done at all. The only way to salvage it was to battle damage it and cover it with mud. The LEVA turret is for the early, 1943 T-34-85 which actually never saw service in Korea (but it was all I had at the time and before AER was available!). Someday I will replace it with a correct, AER T-34-85 turret."
