Kit mostly built out of the box with only the moulded grabs replaced by wire.
The MG barrel was drilled out. Headlights drilled out, painted silver and filled with Krystal Klear.
By current standards it's a basic kit but went together reasonably well. Agonised over getting the turret ERA blocks lined up but then noticed that they weren't tidy on the real vehicle so that made life a bit easier. Base paint coat is Humbrol 117 and I used the hairspray method to reveal the primer underneath. It was given a wash of AK Streaking Grime and then a coat of grime was added using Mig mud pigments. |
