Evaluation:
First some background. During the French Campaign, some 3,7 cm PaK 35/36 L/45 were mounted over their prime movers, normally SdKfz 10 to increase their mobility. The logical evolution will be to use the 5 cm PaK 38 L/60, when this piece replaced the former PaK. It seems that during 1941 till 1943, some guns where mounted in the Sd.Kfz 10 chassis with little adaptation, receiving also some armour to protect the crews from small arms fire and shrapnel. This conversions, seems to be made in some rear area workshop, as most photos shows a similar approach in armour configuration. From photographic evidence, and from units history, some of them were still in use around early 1944, particularly in some Waffen-SS units.
This is another excellent model from this French artisan, and as always with crisp and fine detail. I didn't detect any air bubbles or warping in my specimen, even if I intend to replace the folded canvas, with one made from paper tissue and some thin copper wire.
While the vehicle is a relatively new kit, from AL.BY, the PaK is an old runner, so the later is not up to the new trend with this artisan, so some work around the gun shield, the cradle - moulded together with the shield - is needed.
As far as scale is concern, using the available data the overall dimensions are at 1:72.
