This set contains
a wealth of decals for (mostly) German supplied tanks and other vehicles
used by the Bulgarian Army in WW2, from around the start of WW2 to
the end of the fighting in Yugoslavia in late 1944.
A three-and-a-half page black-and-white A4 instruction leaflet with
detailed information is also included (multiple views are offered
for some vehicles). The same instructions can be found in color on
the Bison website.
Decals are printed on individual carrier film, are in perfect register
and are sharply printed.
A lot of the crosses used by the Bulgarian
Army on this sheet resemble hastily hand-painted paintjobs in either
black or green.
The following markings are offered:
A: Vickers 6ton, Sofia, 1940. 2 options.
B: Befehlspanzer 38(t), Sofia, December 1944. One option shown, but
other turret numbers can be created from the spares, as suggested.
Strangely enough, Bison tells us that the registration numbers ran
from B60023 to B60058, but shows both B60059 and B60061 as examples.
Whatever the case, it is unlikely all these were Bef.Pz., however.
C: Renault R-35, October 1942. 2 options.
D: StuG III Ausf. G, Macedonia, September 1944. Various options, some
partially shown.
E: Opel Blitz.
F-G: PzKpfw IV Ausf. G/H, Sofia, September-December 1944. 5 options.
H : PzKpfw IV Ausf. H, Yugoslavia, October 1944. 3 options plus some
partial views.
I: not found
J: Kubelwagen, Serbia, October 1944.
K: PzKpfw 35(t), Sofia, December 1944.
L: PzKpfw 38(t), Sofia, December 1944. Similar to B.
M: Kubelwagen, October 1944.
N: SdKfz222, Hungary February-March 1945
O: CV.33, South Dobrudja, 1940. 2 options.
There are sufficient decals for 14
complete vehicles, but as shown above, you actually have far more
choice than that, due to the abundance of spares are found on the
sheet (marked with X1 to X5). So, even if you build all 14 vehicles,
your spares box will get a boost.
For those of you that want to get off
the beaten track: this sheet is for you.
Color images taken from Bison's
website (with permission).
PS: according to Bison's website, only
250 copies of this sheet were printed, so you might want to hurry.
