M1A1 Abrams Brass Detail Set

This extremely useful set is composed of 19 parts, which include:

• turret side and rear bustle racks, with braces
• doors for gunner's sight
• headlight guards
• rear tow brackets
• engine exhaust grates
• sprocket wheel covers
• miscellaneous handles

This is one of the few brass sets I have seen in which all the parts are useful. The sprocket wheel covers are optional, as I read that very few M1A1 Abrams used these "training wheels" as the crews called them. Obviously, this is a much simpler set than the PART offering, but the bustle racks in this set will be much easier to assemble, and of course, this set is much cheaper. Very good instructions are included. The set is designed for the Revell kit, but likely could be used for the ESCI M1A1 as well. Note that the bustle racks were not used on the M1 Abrams, so the majority of this set would not be useful for M1 kits.
