Carro Armato M 13/40 Detail Set

This is a 2 sheet PE set to improve the old ESCI/Italeri M13/40, that has a number of issues in its molding and some soft or missing details.

One notable defect of the M13 are the horrible ejector pin marks on the bogies that ruin the raised detail on these parts, so a good portion of this PE set is dedicated to replace that feature of the bogies.

The other elements included are the storage boxes, machine gun mount and gunsight, fender supports, sidesteps and handles, jacket and tools holder brackets. I would have liked them to include the MG magazine (which the plastic kit doesn't have) and some pieces to replace the wing nut type latches on the engine hatches.

A smaller and thinner fret contains a couple sets of both longitudinal or transversal radiator grilles, very useful if you want to correct your model to the earlier M13/40 series. Since, as in the real vehicle, the ESCI/Italeri Semovente 75/18 kit is based on the same chassis as their M13/40, most of this set is also helpful for this SPG. Actually, only 2 pieces, the ones for the side hatch, would be left over.

A simple drawing instructions are included to guide you, though much of the pieces' placement is pretty obvious.
