This is an absolutely huge model of an absolutely huge vehicle. Never before having seen a kit of one of these beasts, I was shocked when I opened the box to see how large this tractor truly is. I guess I was used to seeing its smaller brethren, the Sd.Kfz. 8 and 11.

This is a typical Planet Models kit. What does that mean? It means that it is highly detailed; it has superb resin casting; it is relatively easy to assemble; it comes with etched metal details; the tracks are poor (though not as bad as they used to be); the instructions are very good; and there are no decals included. More specifics about the tracks: they are poorly detailed, and poorly molded, but they are quite flexible, so they should be easy to attach with a realistic sag to them.

Highly recommended for fans of German prime movers (and nobody else).
