The Ford/Marmon-Herrington prime mover was used by the Belgian armed forces at the start of WW2 to tow the 47mm anti-tank gun. Many were pressed into service by the Germans after the fall of Belgium (as can be seen here).

Some time ago, RetroTracks anounced its withdrawal from 1/72 AFV kits. Fortunately for us, they changed their minds and are back with some of the nicest resin kits on the market.

The kit has only a few resin parts, all well cast, with very nice detail, next to no flash and very few pinholes, contained in a sturdy cardboard box. The only casting flaw that I found was on the lower sides of the body, where a slight mold shift was visible.
The way the parts are cast, removing the casting carrots will require little work, except for the main body, which will require a bit more care and effort. It is amazing how much detail is cast into the interior, which must have required a complex (and very flexible) mold.

The bottom of the chassis is Spartan, but as the instructions explain, almost no references are available for this part of the vehicle and little can be seen when the kit is finished.

As the instructions show, little assembly is required.

No decals are provided. As Belgian decals are rather difficult to find (although set 72045 from Black Lion or BE1 from Aleran might be useful), the easiest solution would be to finish this vehicle as a "Beute".
