Italian Tank Crew

This white metal set offers us three-and-a-half Italian tankers which is a rare event for us modelers as figures of this nationality are very often overlooked.
Admittedly, I am no specialist when it comes to Italian armed forces, but seemingly three of the figures wear some kind of coverall, and one a two piece ensemble. (I believe the jacket might be a leather item.)

Six separate heads (all wearing tankers helmets) and eight separate arms are provided. As one figure has his arms already attached, this means that you have some choice when assembling these figures. One of the hands is holding a canteen, by the way.

The sculpting is nice with recognizable facial expressions (it seems they are all looking rather depressed); detail on the figures in coverall is rather bland, but I think this has more to do with the original clothing than with the sculpting itself. If there is one point of criticism to be given then it is that the figures in coveralls are rather skinny, which is very pronounced on the sitting figure. On the other hand, knowing how difficult it actually is to fit a figure in the driver's seat of any kit, this might actually be beneficial; the waistline being hidden by the backrest of the seat in that case.
